Well it’s been an interesting and busy week since I got back from Amsterdam. After the field trip to the Absolute factory last Tuesday we had another field trip to Copenhagen for lectures at Aalborg University and to visit the House of Green, an exhibition on Danish renewable energy that looks right out of Star Trek. Unfortunately this last week of travel ended with an a big exam on sourcing, marketing, and product development. Some interesting topics in there, although not my favorite of the course.

This week will be decidedly more relaxing. For the first time ever, the institute is giving us a mid-semester break and I am definitely taking advantage. It’s only day 2 of break and I’ve already been traveling for 15 hours! I think I’m about halfway through Norway by now on a tour about to meet up with a tour through the Fjords. The tour will drop me off in Bergen where I will spend the night before flying to London. I’ll spend a night there and explore around a bit before taking a train up to Cambridge to visit my friend Ray. Finally I’ll make my way a little further north to see how Manchester is dealing with the other half of MESPOM.

I’m really excited for this trip, but looking out the window I might have not completely prepared for Norway… right now its 4 C [39 F] with snow on the ground and I definitely under packed. My goal was to fit a week’s worth of clothes into my small backpack, and I succeeded…mostly. I also had to make room for my laptop, this needs to be a working vacation. The website I’ve been working on for my part time job should be going live very shortly.
In the meantime stay tuned for more vacation pictures and the rest of my pictures from Rome. Some of my automatic posts haven’t been behaving in my absence, but everything should be fixed now.
