6 days to go….a case study in Murphy’s law…
Murphy’s Law states that anything that can go wrong, will go wrong, and apparently this week a lot can go wrong. After great weekend in New York City with my friend Dylan, I’m back home in Haverhill sick as a dog. I have plantar fasciitis in my right foot which is causing pain up to my knee. I have poison ivy on my arms and legs. And to top it all off I have what I can only assume to be the flu, with a sore throat and a fever of 101.
The original plan was to go visit more friends and family, have a good time, pack and maybe get a couple more blog posts written. Now I’m lying on the couch, with a brace on my foot watching Doctor Who on demand, which normally I would not be opposed to in the least, but kinda wanted to do more before I left. Now I’m just hoping be healthy enough to enjoy the trip to Budapest and layover in Zurich.
If anyone has some amazingly fast remedy for either the flu or poison ivy I’d love to hear it! Until then I’ll be here watching Doctor who and flipping through my new Budapest travel guide. If this medicine kicks in soon I’ll also have a new “Pre-Departure” post.
